About the Organisation

Lesedi Larona Home of Trust is a Non-Profit Organisation (NPO) based in Thabazimbi, Limpopo. It also operates a satellite centre in the rural areas of the Nyandeni Local Municipality, Eastern Cape—specifically in Old Bunting Location, Ngqeleni—where we are planning to expand youth skills development to increase their exposure to the job market. 

We seek support for a peace of land from our local municipalities, donations (in-kind and monetory), and general support from stakeholders and communities at large.

Afterschool Programmes (Literacy and Numeracy for Grades 1-6)
We offer Literacy and Numeracy Enrichment Programme with the aim to support young learners in schools and to support schools improve their results. This programme is interlinked with PLC's for parents, teachers, and community leaders, Livelihoods and GBV in schools since these affect the child's learning journey and Youth Skills Capacity Building PROGRAMME to capacitate youth on demanding soft skills to improve access to job or entrepreneurship opportunities.

Youth Skills Development for Sustainable Livelihoods Programme
We offer skills workshops for job readiness of youth in an innovative world with foundational, technical, and socio-emotional skills to secure decent employment. Key activities often include providing market-driven skills training in diverse sectors such as soft hospitality, STEM, and community development . This is frequently combined with essential soft skills development, covering areas like financial literacy, digital proficiency, work readiness, and entrepreneurship competencies.

Professional Learning Communities
We are keen to establish Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) for teachers, students, and parents, as well as a Community of Practice for all stakeholders, to form a Schools Community Partnership. This partnership will ensure all children attend school, youth are developed with employment potential in any open sector, and young people are equipped with digital and innovative skills.
